2023 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

For the Saskatchewan Roughriders the 2022 Season was a challenging one to say the least.

Our first full season post-pandemic held concerns about fan base, team chemistry and roster uncertainty. But this organization, as in the past, perservered. The SRAA was there to support the parent club in all its efforts to remain the Premiere Franchise in the CFL

Community engagement is an essential part of the SRAA's mandate and we work closely with the Riders and Rider Foundation to deliver this.

In 2022, our members attended close to 30 events province wide including sport and football camps and game day autograph signings at Mosaic Stadium.  Yearly the SRAA host three signature events that help raise funds for our community initiatives. June 15th is our Saskatoon SRAA Golf Charity Classic which benefits FootballSask and July 17 we hold our SRAA Regina Golf Classic to support Amateur Sport in Regina and area. We are also bringing back the Annual Whisky and Wine Event in late fall 2023. These 3 events generate close to $50,000 in proceeds that go to all amateur sport throughout the Province of Saskatchewan.

I'd like to thank my fellow board members for their time and commitment to ensuring that the SRAA remains a vital part of professional and amateur football in our community. I look forward to seeing you this season at Mosaic!
