On September 30, 2017 well over 250 participants as well as over 30 Rider Alumni attended the inaugural fundraising event "Believe in the Gold" Run for Childhood Cancer research. Believe in the Gold is a charitable foundation dedicated to children and committed to raising awareness about childhood cancer, raising funds to help support families with medical expenses that are not covered by Health Care or extended benefit plans, and raising funds for childhood cancer research. Believe in the Gold aims to change these statistics and see fewer children affected by childhood cancer. They are working towards this goal by increasing awareness and raising funds for groundbreaking pediatric cancer research and treatments.

The Roughrider Alumni Association is very proud and honored to have been a part of this event.

This years event will take place again in Wascana Park in September, date TBD
